“Firmware” is the software that controls the feature set and behavior of all Z-Wave products. Manufacturers routinely update firmware to add new features or to correct problems (“bugs”). Z-Flash is a software program that’s designed to use Z-Wave’s over-the-air (“OTA”) technology to update firmware in Z-Wave products.

While our own tests have found the process to be safe and reliable, the success of any firmware update is contingent on the OTA technology itself, quality of the firmware, state of the operating system and compatibly of the interface hardware. These factors are largely beyond our control. For this reason, HomeSeer Technologies LLC assumes no responsibility for product damage caused by use of this software.
